Class Rooms


The College has 20 class rooms and 5 big spacious Labs with latest furniture, equipment, .Air conditioned Computer labs with 110 latest TFT computers with Broadband & Wi-Fi connectivity. Well Equipped Laboratories with gadgets of Latest technology in Computer, Home Science.


N.C.C


The college has N.C.C Unit attached with 2nd Girl's Battalion, Rohtak. The unit comprises of 54 cadets. Regular parades are held twice a week. Cadets are also encouraged to participate in other activities organized under NCC such as special training camps, tours and Republic Day parades & other group activities. Best cadets are honoured on the occasion of Annual Awards Day held in the college.

N.S.S.


MOTTO- "Not me But You"

The college has two units of N.S.S. seats being limited, volunteers are enrolled on the basis of first come, first served basis. Class allocation of seats is 35 from each class. However, the number of class wise seats are inter changeable at the discretion of the Principal.

Objectives:
  • To enrich the student’s personality and deepen their understanding of social environment in which they live.
  • To develop socio-economic awareness and encourage the students to spread the same to the illiterate community of the area adopted.
  • To develop socio-economic activities designed to tackle social problems.
  • To appreciate "dignity of labor".


Incentives:
  • Additional 5% marks in aggregate for seeking admission to higher class after graduation.
  • Job opportunities to serve as social worker after graduation in Social Work/Social Sciences.



Women Development Cell


It is a matter of immense pride that Women Development Cell under the aegis of Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana has been set up in the college from session 1998-99. It is part of regular activities of the college. Many useful and educative programmes are undertaken under this Cell with the following objectives in view:--


  • To make the girl students aware of their constitutional rights.
  • To instill confidence in them.
  • To uplift their social status.
  • To provide them valuable information regarding mental and physical health & hygiene.
  • To make them aware of legal and social aspects of marriage, inheritance, marital adjustments and balanced life.
  • Counseling of students in need of help, and taking up their grievances.

The sports activities of the college allows young girls freedom and opportunity to achieve heights of glory through regular and sustained sports activities both at Indoor and Outdoor levels.

Library


The college offers a well equipped, computerized library. It has 7000 books of all subjects. It also subscribes to many Newspapers, Magazines and Journals to quench the thirst of knowledge of the books of all students. Each bonafide student is a member of the college library. At the time of admission, a student will be issued an Identity/Library Card. The library is also open during vacation. Students must use it to the optimum level.



Our college library has the following infrastructure and facilities :-

  • Reading room with capacity of 100 readers.

  • Book bank facility.

LIBRARY RULES
  • Students are entitled to borrow 2 books at a time.
  • A book shall be issued for a maximum period of 15 days and may be re-issued at the discretion of the librarian.
  • Reference books will not be issued to anyone.
  • A fine of Rs. 2/- per day per book shall be changed from the borrow in case the book is not returned by due dates.
  • After which the fine will double every 15 days.
  • For special issue the fine will be Rs. 5/- per day.
  • Books issued from the library should be checked very carefully and in no case be underlined or disfigured. Students will be asked to replace the book if it disfigured beyond a limit.
  • In case of loss or damage of
  • book the borrow shall have to either replace the book or pay the latest price of the book.
  • The librarian is empowered to recall any book at any time.
  • The students are expected to observe perfect silence in the library and not disturb others in any way.
  • Any misuse of the college
  • library will be considered a branch of discipline and serious notice involving disciplinary action will be taken.
  • Students can contact librarian for I-card after getting admission. Wearing I-card is mandatory for students in college campus.

Home-Science


By opting for Home Science as a subject a student can improve her career in India and abroad. The scope of Home Science is very vast as it deals with various aspects of life. After being a graduate or a post graduate in Home Science one can opt for a number of careers from which a few are as follow:-

  • Self employment in beauty and culture. Food Preservation, Tailoring, Painting. Tiffin Services, Interior Decoration etc.
  • One can take teaching as a profession at school or college level.
  • One can become dietician after doing diploma in dietetics.
  • Can become a health worker or a counselor.
  • One can have her own Poultry farm/bakery/beauty Parlor/Boutique.
  • Above all a student of Home Science can run her home very smoothly because she has knowledge about food, clothing and basic necessities of life.
