  • To foster a psychological and social climate that raises awareness of sexual harassment in all of its manifestations.
How to approach a committee

The Committee handles sexual harassment-related matters at DAV Girls College Kosli. It applies to all faculty, staff, and students. The victim may file a complaint alleging sexual harassment or discrimination.

Procedure for approaching committee

The Committee deals with issues relating to sexual harassment at DN College, Hisar. It is applicable to all students, staff and faculty. A complaint of discrimination or sexual harassment may be lodged by the victim or a third party. The Committee's Convener may receive a formal complaint. Members of the Committee may transmit the complaint to the Committee against Sexual Harassment Convener.

The committee covers the following, which is also considered sexual harassment:
  • Crude comments,Eve-teasing
  • Jokes that make people uncomfortable or embarrassed,
  • Taunts and innuendos
  • Sexist or gender-based insults,
  • Any sort of unwanted sexual overtones, especially those that occur over the phone (such as annoying phone calls),
  • Brushing or touching any bodily area,
  • Putting up pornographic or other indecent or disparaging images, cartoons, booklets, or proverbs,
  • Physical abuse or coercion, andPhysical confinement against one’s will, as well as any other act likely to violate one’s privacy.
